Initial Bid Amount: $4,077,000

Description: Contractor removed of 72,000 cyds of sediment from a 13 acre WTP reservoir that
required 100% of the material to be trucked from site thru residential areas. This task was accomplished without a single incident or compliant from local residents. The first portion was removed via dredging and presses to stabilize silt and reduce haul weights. The 2nd part was by mass excavation and was air dried until moisture content was decreased to reduce haul and landfill dump fees, which provided substantial savings credited to the owner from recommendations by Heavy Constructors, Inc.
