Initial Bid Amount: $16,435,000

Description:   Project consisted of a new building that houses 2 -1750 KW generators that is powered by natural gas or methane gas produced by the plant improvements. Also, included are additions to the plug flow reactor, digester gas holder, methane gas filtration and supporting electrical and mechanical work. This project was renegotiated from the original bid price of $16,435,000 with value engineering and deductive alternates to get within owner’s budget. The thermophilic integral combined heat and power (CHP) system for co-generation of renewable
energy is a first of its kind for this type of total process, and has received global awards due to its innovation.
