Heavy Constructors was established in 1993 as a general contractor involved in the civil and environmental construction markets. Our construction projects involve the control and treatment of every aspect of the water treatment and wastewater treatment industry including treatment facilities, pump stations, drainage, reservoirs, wetlands and line work projects. 

   Heavy prides itself on quality construction. This has resulted in very little warranty work being requested by our past clients. We achieve this performance standard by a two phase process starting with the management staff personnel having degrees in construction engineering and management. This provides a major boost in the estimating, purchasing, and scheduling in the construction process on all of our projects. The second phase is a combination of project field crews that our lead by superintendents with 20-40 years experience. We maintain a strong stable work force by fair market wages for the foreman and tradesmen that we encourage to grow and expand their trade skills with the company.

   Heavy is selective in our subcontractors that represent the skills, quality and safety required to complete our projects due to the high quality standards needed in the environmental industry's complicated mechanical, electrical and instrumentation orientated plants. Heavy’s team mission is to assist the Owner and Engineer to uncover project discrepancies ahead of the actual construction work to hold the line on the Owner’s tight budgets. Heavy self performs critical earthwork, concrete, mechanical, and equipment work with in house tradesmen to maintain the quality control and schedules. Heavy has completed numerous design-build projects as an alternate delivery approach in our applicable field by teaming up with environmental engineers.  

   Heavy takes safety of all its employees as paramount as one of the keys to a successful project. All employees from labor to management are encouraged to express their opinions concerning quality and safety of the project. Heavy is a “Drug Free Workplace” starting July 2010 for all company employees. Currently we pursue work in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and Florida where we maintain general contracting and trade licenses. Heavy Mechanical, Inc. maintains a current fleet of construction equipment required to complete work for the parent company located at a 2.5 acre yard and 12,000 SF warehouse in Marietta, Georgia.
